I’m now at

Thank you to all my wonderful subscribers for following this blog!!

Since I started my coaching practice in 2008, I decided to create a new blogsite (website + blog) and I would love to see you there!

Come on over to for more posts, information and fun!

Looking foward to seeing you there 🙂

Did you wake up today and ask “what am I doing with my life”?

Or perhaps you find yourself wondering if there’s more to life than the daily grind of work, home, activities, day in and day out .. the same old thing. Samo-Samo.

Are you happy, like your job but feel there’s got to be something more out there? Do you want work to be more fulfilling, meaningful and fun? Would you like to jump out of bed each day with a smile on your face, a real sense of purpose and excitement? How wonderful would that feel!?

Not that long ago I was hopping from job to job. In an 11 year working career I held over 15 jobs in 7 industries. The longest I ever stayed in a job was 9 months. And I managed to take a total of 4 years off in between jobs. That should have told me something but it was only last year that I finally figured out what was going on.

You see, I really don’t like working!

That’s right, I said it. I still don’t. I left my first advertising job due to a clash of values with my boss. The second job in financial services because I didn’t feel right about convincing people to hand over their life savings for 120% returns in the stock market. And so on. New jobs, new reasons to leave.

Looking back I can see clearly now the rain has gone … I can see that my CORE VALUES were not being met in any of these jobs! There was no courage, love, openness, fun, freedom or growth in any of them. No wonder my spirit rebelled and my mind quit the party 5 minutes into it.

I wish I’d had someone recognise what was going on then – would have saved the last 10 years of my life working in moderately to well paid, boring and unfulfilling jobs, travelling from city to town to new country to country in search of adventure, fun and excitement (no regrets about the travelling though).

You know what’s one of the saddest things in the world? Living a life of mediocrity and indifference. Like I did for so long. Living on autopilot because that’s the easy thing to do. In fact, it’s the hardest because of the price we ultimately pay.

Being ok with waking up every day to go work in a job you can’t stand, to make money that you spend too fast, for 2 weeks of vacation a year and dreaming about the day you’ll come into money or get a great break or have the guts to up and out of this so-so existence to actually MAKE your dreams come true…

That is truly the saddest misuse of our lives on Earth, a gross waste of time and talent.

When you find your purpose, the contribution you were here to make in this world, discover your potential and tap into your inner self where all the answers already are, you will never work another day in your life.

Even if you spend 50 hours a week following your heart and living a life of passion, it won’t ever feel like work.

It can get challenging and hard at times but it will always, always, ALWAYS be worth it!

And that my friend, is how life was meant to be lived. With passion, courage and love. Making a difference in this world. Making each day count.

The world desperately needs people who are living fully, with authenticity and passion.

The world needs YOU to come alive. Have you? Isn’t it time?

As you BE, so shall you SEE – A new Year Story

A New Year Story..

Inspired by Fun! Happy New YearLast Sunday a girl was walking home from a course and thinking about who she was being this year – connected, loving, inspiring, happy etc.

On the way, she impulsively bought some pretty blue flowers – it had been years since she did that, so she sure surprised herself.

She then stopped by the supermarket and while there, let a little old lady cut the line in front of her. The lady walked very slowly with a cane and was wearing a blue coat the exact same color as the flowers. So she gave her one of the flowers, chatted a bit and left.

As she walked away, something made turn around and go back to the lady, giving her the entire bouquet and telling her she was a beautiful, beautiful lady. The lady was surprised and kept insisting she wanted to give the girl something in return. Bless her dear heart! So the girl took the 1st little flower back.

If only you’d been there to see the look on the lady’s face and the way she squeezed the girl’s hand – it was enough to have her skipping all the way home. And those flowers suddenly were more than just that.

She realised this was no co-incidence. It was the Universe bringing her the chance to say YES to connecting with ‘strangers’ and as a result, being who she intended to be!

And you know what else? On the last day of every course that girl took over the past 3 months, she lost something. Her wallet, her pen, little things like that.

This time, she lost the wall that used to keep her from connecting with people in a vain attempt to protect herself. And as she “BE’s” more of who she wants to be, her intentions manifest that much quicker. Could this be your story too?

Ps: How’s saying YES to more in life working for you – got any successes/challenges to share? I’ll feature the best response in the next issue so email me by Feb 10th.

Get what you want this year!

How To Get What You Want This Year..

1) Find out what you really want (xyz income a year, romance)
2) And who you want to be (loving, successful, happy)
3) Know WHY you want the above (more time, less stress)
4) State them as specific Intentions (I am / I have vs I will)
5) Start being that person (How would a happy person earning $ xyz act?)

The word “Goal” often brings up draggy, hard to achieve images for most of us. Groannnn! No wonder we lose motivation – ‘cos we didn’t really care about the goal as much as what we thought it would bring us. It also says “DO DO DO” and while doing is a big part of it, it isn’t quite the start point. So what is?

Being. As you focus on who you want to Be, the Doing action flows naturally.

You can be a successful entrepreneur. A great parent. Courageous. Happy.
The good news is you get to consciously choose whoever you want to be!

Planning. Next, create SMART goals (specific, measurable, actionable, resonant and thrilling – a little twist on the conventional definition). Your goals should (not that I’m telling you what to do ha-ha) excite you, scare you and align with your values.

Doing. Be ready to take inspired action, and make it consistent action.

Some things you can do to climb back on the horse when you fall:

Hold yourself accountable to a friend, a coach, an accountability partner.
Join a mastermind group.

Change your goalif they don’t excite you anymore. Yeah, really! Let them go.
Be nice to yourself, have fun, treat yourself when you accomplish a task and ask for help – you don’t have to go it alone.

This isn’t an exhaustive list but it’s definitely a good place to tap into when stuck.

Bottom-line: By clearly knowing what you want and why, you’ve got a better chance of getting it. Sounds good to me!

Are you Quacking like a Duck or soaring like an Eagle?

Here is a story I heard recently that I had to share with you … It’s the story of a man called Wally. Years ago, Harvey Mackay, (Business Motivational Speaker & Inspirational Quotes) told a wonderful story about a cab driver that proved a point.

Daring to be Different

Harvey was waiting in line for a ride at the airport. When a Cab pulled up, the first thing he noticed was that the taxi was polished to a bright shine. Smartly dressed in a white shirt, black tie, and freshly pressed black slacks, the cab driver jumped out and rounded the car to open the back passenger door for Harvey.

He handed him a laminated card and said:

`I`m Wally, your driver. While I`m loading your bags in the trunk I`d like you to read my mission statement.`

Taken aback, Harvey read the card. It said: Wally`s Mission Statement: To get my customers to their destination in the quickest, safest and cheapest way possible in a friendly environment.

This blew Harvey away. Especially when he noticed that the inside of the cab matched the outside. Spotlessly clean!

As he slid behind the wheel, Wally said, `Would you like a cup of coffee? I have a thermos of regular and one of decaf.`

Harvey said jokingly, `No, I`d prefer a soft drink.`

Wally smiled and said, `No problem. I have a cooler up front with regular and Diet Coke, water and orange juice.`

Almost stuttering, Harvey said, `I`ll take a Diet Coke.`

Handing him his drink, Wally said, `If you`d like something to read, I have The Wall Street Journal, Time, Sports Illustrated and USA Today.`

As they were pulling away, Wally told Harvey that he had the air conditioning on and asked if the temperature was comfortable for him. Then he advised Harvey of the best route to his destination for that time of day. He also let him know that he`d be happy to chat and tell him about some of the sights or, if Harvey preferred, to leave him with his own thoughts.

`Tell me, Wally,` Harvey asked the driver, `have you always served customers like this?`

Wally smiled into the rear-view mirror. `No, not always. In fact, it’s only been in the last two years. My first five years driving, I spent most of my time complaining like all the rest of the cabbies do.

Then I heard the personal growth guru, Wayne Dyer, on the radio one day. He had just written a book called You`ll See It When You Believe It. Dyer said that if you get up in the morning expecting to have a bad day, you`ll rarely disappoint yourself.

He said, `Stop complaining! Differentiate yourself from your competition. Don`t be a duck. Be an eagle. Ducks quack and complain.  Eagles soar above the crowd.``

`That hit me right between the eyes,` said Wally. `Dyer was really talking about me. I was always quacking and complaining, so I decided to change my attitude and become an eagle. I looked around at the other cabs and their drivers. The cabs were dirty, the drivers were unfriendly, and the customers were unhappy.

So I decided to make some changes. I put in a few at a time. When my customers responded well, I did more.`

`I take it that has paid off for you,` Harvey said.

`It sure has` Wally replied. `My first year as an eagle, I doubled my income from the previous year. This year I`ll probably quadruple it. You were lucky to get me today. I don`t sit at cabstands anymore. My customers call me for appointments on my cell phone or leave a message on my answering machine. If I can`t pick them up myself, I get a reliable cabbie friend to do it and I take a piece of the action.`

Wally was phenomenal. He was running a limo service out of a Yellow Cab.

Harvey probably told that story to more than fifty cab drivers over the years, and only two took the idea and ran with it. Whenever Harvey went to their cities, he would give them a call. The rest of the drivers quacked like ducks and told him all the reasons they couldn`t do any of what he was suggesting.

Wally the Cab Driver made a different choice. He decided to stop quacking like Ducks and start soaring like Eagles.

Pretty amazing huh? Makes me wonder ~

What if we all decided to be our very best at whatever work we did?
What if we shifted our perspective in all areas of our life and decided to soar like an Eagle?
What wonders the World would see!

What sells News?

Watching the news today.. the murders of Jennifer Hudson’s family and the beautiful young TV anchor from Arkansas, the young girls who perished in a BC fire … while it makes me so sad to hear about such tragedies, It also leads me to wonder ~

How come its mostly bad stuff that makes the news?

Why is it that crime makes the national headlines everyday? Now I remember why I don’t like watching the news so much.

Isn’t it about time to start national and international news with “Here’s something WONDERFUL that happened in the world today”? When will we see the day that happens?

What if we ALL started our day making our own bit of good news!?

Good Morning and thank you for tuning in. Let me tell you about some REALLY GREAT stuff that happened today around the world  ~~ Millions of Mama’s kissed their babies awake and made breakfast for their families (a lot of the daddies did too!). An equal number of Dad’s loved their families and gave hugs all around.

Everywhere people looked, there were smiles, laughter, hugs and Hello’s.

Nature waved cheerily and shook off bright orange, yellow and red leaves from her trees in the Nothern Hemisphere. And melted the snow under a sunny blue sky in the Southern Hemisphere.

Positivity abounded as people realised what really mattered to them – LOVE. Happiness. Family. Friends.

You see World, there is Faith and Beauty all around us. Let us now start focusing on that as we start each day.

Whats good in the world, rather than the bad.

Love, not fear.

What’s something wonderful that happened in your world today?

Yeah, quite an unlikely trio and no I’m not going to link them all together to explain their presence in one post. Everywhere I look around I see people blogging about the TwitterPhenomenon so its only a matter of time before I had to jump in and explain where I’ve been the last 4 weeks, just in case you were wondering.

Oh .. you weren’t?! DAMN you and keep reading!

Discovered twitter and turned twitaholic in a reallll big way, no make that a REALLLLLLLLLLLL BIGGGG WAYYY and fell off the face of the Earth when it came to everything else in the real world (like work, earning an income, eating, sleeping, showering .. ok kidding.. a little). I’ve been sucked into virtual reality, mates and am making a very important contribution to the growth of Social Media. My cerebral, witty, influential n wise 140 charactered microblog lives here

But wait! Don’t go anywhere just yet, the story ain’t done.

At the most pathetic stage of addiction I found myself being obsessed with #’s ~ each follow had me excited about someone actually wanting to hear what I have to say and each unfollow had my heart skip a beat, oh the rejection! Like having your 1st crush look right through you and not know you exist even though you’ve been camping outside his door sticking pins into voodoo dolls that looked eerily like his gf for years.. Nah .. but you get the picture right? RIGHT?

Now I just cyberstomp my Unfollowers – HA bet that hurts! >: )

Quickly stopped basing self-worth on the # of Twits in my Twosse or the Tweets being aimed at me and started enjoying following and reading others! And I’ve cybermet some amazing people and gotten some brilliant tips from website design to blogging tips and more (hint: refer to title of blog).

Not to mention a whole new vocabulary “tweet you later, tweethearts, twosse, tweeple …”

Joined a Twitaholic group to perpetuate my addiction and proclaim myself worthy of Addict of the Week.. hey, If I can’t (don’t want to) beat it, why not be applauded for it? Update: Crowned Addict of the Week this friday 😉 bottom left

AND just in case you’re going Twi,, WHA? Here’s an excellent article by Mitch Joel at Twist Image telling you the whats, whys, hows and what nots

Decided to try some EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Tapping around my Money beliefs and found a very cool resource called Brad Yates. Tapped along to a very powerful 90 minute session led by him. Started with feelings of not being worthy of Big Money and a -ve feeling of 7 out of 10. Halfway through I was so energised and uplifted, I was down to near 0 (ie, felt very +ve). Check out the EFT (emotional freedom tapping) chart if you are interested:

Enjoyed NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) course which is over in a month. It’s brilliant learning how the language we use creates new neural pathways in our brains. Understanding how you communicate and how others communicate, can allow you to make more sense of the world and ultimately achieve better results in your chosen field or passion. Powerful stuff this, the byline being:

“Once you know, you cannot UNknow”.

How many of you have tried EFT or NLP and how has it worked for you? If you would like more information on any of these topics, please let me know, I have resources I can send you.

I’m also curious to know about how you mostly use your twittertime ~ To network? Have a laugh? Promote your biz? Generate ideas?  What’s the most value you get from it? Thanks for sharing!

This is your Life, Dare to Create it!

A wonderful inspirational visual to start your day! I look at it every morning as I wake 🙂
Your Life is a Dream come true – It is what you chose for yourself by your thoughts and actions, knowingly in some cases, unknowingly in others. Do you sometimes wonder how you got to where you are? And now that you are here, maybe it’s time to ask yourself – Is this where I want to be? If the answer is yes, a round of applause for you, my friend. You are living a life full and rich!

If your answer is no, perhaps it’s time to look at WHERE you want to be? Being Who? Doing What? And Why? I encourage you to spend some time with these questions if you want more for and from your life than you are currently creating.

Remember – This is YOUR life, YOU get to choose what you want in it and YOU get to create it! When you have a destination, you will find a way to get there so dream on, dream big and start living the life you want. Being the person you truly are. But first, find out who that person really is.

When its meant to be, it WILL BE!!

Harking back to my 1st post .. when I was Stuck in the Scaries about having “lost the opp” to start a Life Coaching course this year … I’d been looking at various options for a month and nothing felt right. I wanted an In-person course and all I could find were tele courses.

Come Sept 16th and I reaffirmed and this time, posted my intention (created Sept 4th initially) to start a course this month. Well, the very same day I decided to ask Zoe and Jeannette for their take on coaching institutes and got great insights. Jeannette talked about CTI, so on an impulse I checked out the website, went “hmmmm I remember seeing this one how come I didn’t explore it further?”, idly looked at their schedule and … nearly jumped into the ‘puter screen!!!

There was a course starting in THREE days, IN Vancouver, IN PERSON and I would be ‘done’ by Feb 09! Oh.My.God. Well guess what? After a minute of staring at the page, It took me all of FIVE, yes, 5 minutes to make a decision. There was one spot left, the last one, and as it turns out, that spot was waiting for ME.

I didn’t get over it for hours – the synchronicity of finding the perfect one for me after dilly dallyin for weeks. The course turned out to be amazing, the facilitators ROCK harder than Mick Jagger, the participants are brave, brilliant people with a purpose, and the entire experience inspired and grew us like taffy being pulled in a 100 different soul stretching ways.

What did I say? When its meant to be, it WILL be 🙂 Another great example of “the timing is always perfect, even when it takes some time cooking”. And even having my wallet stolen at Starbucks later that evening can’t take away from THIS truth (well whats with the whole losing my identity (cards) thing? I’m sure there is a learning involved – lose one identity, gain a new one? Ooooo I like that, I’m going with that!))

I would LOVE to hear if you have had a similar experience – where you really wanted something but it just wasn’t happening, and then as soon as you set an intention, BooM, it fell right into your lap in some strange, miraculous, unexpected or amazing ways … ?

Fantastic Friday as a Lady of Leisure :)

I spent all of yesterday afternoon with a new friend who is also a current member of the Lady of Leisure club.

We spent some time drinking hot chocolate, eating chocoholic goodies (I hope your naturopath isn’t reading this Ang!) and discussing various business options. The chief one being starting a little bookstore, which sent us into a tizzy spin and a sad parting of ways with the idea just 2 minutes later with the realisation that both of us would spend all our time reading behind the counter instead of marketing or catering to customers….

Then we came up with a plan of starting a reading circle in the store so we wouldnt have to work and everyone who came in could just sit with us and read! Needless to say, we gave up the business planning after a few more minutes of fantasising about living in bookstores.

She then convinced me to try rollerblading for the 1st time!!

So while gabazillons of people were toiling away in their cubicles at work, we were out in the glorious sunshine, falling on our butts and laughing the most I have laughed in weeks. I became the proud owner of 2 painfully bruised wrists which I wrapped up in a crepe bandage (and a painful posterior which I cldnt do anything about!!) and went to dinner with another friend and her friends, and then to see an amazing funk band with them ( AND a few other other friends dancing till past 230am (where I met a couple of people with whom I had the randomest funniest conversations and couldn’t stop laughing all night either!!)

I didnt feel guilty for spending extra $$ when I’m not earning cos hey, I deserve it and there is plenty more to come as the Universe is always channeling it to me 😀

One of my my favorite ex flamates arrives tonight/tmrw morning for a 5 day visit from Ireland and I am so excited to see her!

My cheeks hurt, my hands hurt, my rear end hurts, my neck hurts, … and its all good!

I love Susie’s good news and Lisa’s channeling and Sugandhi’s drums and Steve’s relief and Hannah’s love and Jeannette being back! YAY!!!

Yeahhhahahahahahahahah ahahahhahahahaha hahahhahahhahahahahhahaha for my Life!!!!!
